This work exchange program is designed to be mutually beneficial to the participant and to the Dwelling in the Woods. It is for anyone who is interested in deepening his/her practice or learning about the retreat/hermit experience in a supportive environment. You may be in transition, you may want an extended time at the Dwelling but can’t afford it, you may be coming from school and are interested in a particular skill, you may be any age. This is the place for you if you are willing to serve, are ready to deepen your practice, and are comfortable with nature, solitude and quiet (while being in community).
In exchange for your service, we will provide room and board (no salary or benefits), a community of support, a retreat in a hermitage, and the chance to listen and be heard like you have never experienced before.
